Do we think Gods messengers are blind?

By Toni Ullom

Revival this weekend! Oh my, guess I best do a little praying and maybe throw in a little bible study. Wouldn't want God to let the minister know "I've been slacking off!" Guess what, as they say "to little to late". A prayed up, fasted up, man of God doesn't need to look at your everyday life to see what is or is not being done in your life. The only one we fool is ourselves. I myself don't even try to make excuses in this area, I just fess up cause if I said I did and didn't, I'd just have to repent for lying.

Have you ever gotten that feeling when you stand near a preacher of being looked right through? Sheeze I have so many times and been so intimidated. Thank God he doesn't tell on us like we perceive in our imagination, actually we do that all by ourselves. By our attitudes, our trying to hide out and avoid those we know are close enough to God that it makes us squirm to be in the same room with them. I like the back bench myself, not because of hiding out, that's just my spot but at one time it was where I choose because I was uncomfortable with a man or woman of God getting to close to me.

I have been fortunate enough to have teachers who give me time to let God scold me, on occasion when I don't listen to him, he has to send someone to nudge me however. Sometimes I would just as soon they come out and just push me a bit in the right direction directly. I know, I just gave them permission to do that, well that is if they read this... however sometimes its a good thing to get that stubborn nature pointed in the right direction. Doesn't that hurt my feelings? Sometimes, but once I get past the oh poor pitiful me and face the truth, I am glad for the correction.

A prayed up, fasted up, teacher isn't anything to be feared, at least he or she shouldn't be. Because anything that they have to instruct you on, isn't from them, it's from God and you know he isn't going to hurt you, he loved you enough to give his last breath for you.
